Town of Orleans, MA Town Clerk's Fees

The following fees shall be charged by the Town Clerk for the services set forth, as authorized by MGL c. 262, § 34, Clauses 1-79:

	(1)	For filing and indexing an assignment for the benefit of creditors: ten dollars ($10.).
	(11)	For entering an amendment of a record of the birth of a child born out of wedlock subsequently legitimized: ten dollars ($10.).
	(12)	For correcting errors in a record of birth: ten dollars ($10.).
	(13)	For furnishing a certificate of a birth: ten dollars ($10.). [Amended 10-29-2007 STM, Art. 7]
	(13A)	For furnishing an abstract copy of a record of birth: ten dollars ($10.). [Amended 5-9-2011 ATM, Art. 30]
	(14)	For entering a delayed record of birth: ten dollars ($10.).
	(20)	For filing a certificate of a person conducting business under any title other than his real name: thirty dollars ($30.). [Amended 10-29-2007 STM, Art. 7]
	(21)	For filing by a person conducting business under any title other than his real name of a statement of change of his residence, or of his discontinuance, retirement or withdrawal from, or change of location of, such business: ten dollars ($10.).
	(22)	For furnishing a certified copy of a certificate of a person conducting business under any title other than his real name or a statement by such person of his discontinuance, retirement or withdrawal from such business: five dollars ($5.).
	(24)	For recording the name and address, the date and number of the certificate issued to a person registered for the practice of podiatry in the commonwealth: twenty dollars ($20.).
	(29)	For correcting errors in a record of death: ten dollars ($10.).

	(43)	For entering a certificate of marriage filed by persons married out of the commonwealth: five dollars ($5.).

	(44A)	For furnishing an abstract copy of a record of marriage: ten dollars ($10.). [Amended 5-9-2011 ATM, Art. 30]
	(45)	For correcting errors in a record of marriage: ten dollars ($10.).
	(54)	For recording power of attorney: ten dollars ($10.).
	(57)	For recording a certificate of registration granted to a person to be engaged in the practice of optometry, or issuing a certified copy thereof: twenty dollars ($20.).
	(58)	For recording the name of the owner of a certificate of registration as a physician or osteopath in the commonwealth: twenty dollars ($20).
	(62)	For recording an order granting locations of poles, piers, abutments or conduits, alterations or transfers thereof, and an increase in the number of wires and cables or attachments under the provisions of MGL c. 166, § 22: forty dollars ($40.) flat rate, ten dollars ($10.) additional streets.
	(66)	For examining records or papers relating to births, marriages or deaths, upon the application of any person: the actual expense thereof, but not less than five dollars ($5.).
	(67)	For copying any manuscript or record pertaining to a birth, marriage or death: five dollars ($5.) per page.
	(69)	For receiving and filing a complete inventory of all items to be included in a closing out sale, etc.: ten dollars ($10.) first page, two dollars ($2.) additional pages.
	(75)	For filing a copy of written instrument or declaration of trust by trustees of an association or trust, or any amendment thereof, as provided by MGL c. 182, § 2: twenty dollars ($20.).
	(78)	For recording a deed of lot or plot in a public place of cemetery: ten dollars ($10.).
	(79)	Recording any other documents: ten dollars ($10.) first page, two dollars ($2.) additional pages. Voter's certificate: five dollars ($5.).
