A. The premises of a massage business, including appliances and apparatus,
shall be kept clean and operated in a sanitary condition.
B. Adequate equipment shall be provided for disinfecting and sterilizing
instruments used in the administering or practicing of the subjects
or methods of treatment. Such instruments shall be sterilized after
each use.
C. A supply of clean, laundered sheets and towels shall be available
sufficient for use by each customer and shall be laundered after each
use thereof and stored in an approved sanitary manner.
D. Wet and dry heat rooms, shower compartments and toilet rooms shall
be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized each day the business is in operation.
Bathtubs shall be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use.
E. All bathing, dressing, locker and toilet facilities for patrons shall
be code-compliant and A.D.A.-accessible as required in the City's
Building Code. The massage business must have a minimum of one (1)
dressing room, one (1) toilet and one (1) wash basin. The facilities
must provide a safe and secure place to keep valuables and personal
items. If male and female patrons are to be served simultaneously
at such massage business, then separate massage rooms and separate
dressing facilities shall be provided for male and female patrons,
except that couples may receive services in the same cubicle, room,
booth, or area on request.
