Snow emergency violations. Every person who shall be convicted of
a winter snow emergency violation shall be punished by a fine of no
less than $25. For a second violation during the same declared snow
emergency, the vehicle shall be impounded and kept secure until the
registered owner shall pay a fine of $75, and pays all court costs,
towing and impoundment charges.
(1) Every person who does not answer to the court for the summons, does
not submit payment for the summons, does not plead in person or via
registered mail within the allotted time period stated at the time
of issuance of the summons shall be guilty of contempt.
(2) The Village Justice or the acting justice shall issue a warrant for
the arrest of the subject. The fines imposed on the original offense
shall be tripled, the vehicle may be impounded until the fines, court
costs, impoundment fees and towing charges are paid and/or imprisonment
for no more than 30 days may be imposed.
