A
"modular building" is defined as a factory
fabricated transportable building or building unit designed to be
used by itself or to be incorporated with similar units at a building
site into a modular structure to be used for residential, commercial,
educational or industrial purposes. A
"mobile home" as defined in Section
400.030 is excluded from the definition of a modular building.

A modular building shall be placed on a continuous masonry foundation
with frost footing (thirty-two (32) inches below grade) eight (8)
inches thick and sixteen (16) inches wide with two (2) No. 5 reinforcing
rods. All foundations shall have proper vents one (1) square foot
per each two hundred (200) square feet or fraction thereof of floor
space. A service opening of not less than two (2) feet by two (2)
feet with a proper closure shall be provided, preferably in the area
of the water and sewer connections.

All modular buildings moved to a location within the City of Palmyra, Missouri, after the fourth (4th) day of May, 1995, shall comply with the provisions of Chapter
270 of this Code. A violation of this Chapter shall be punishable by a fine of not less than five dollars ($5.00) and not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00). Each day of violation shall be considered a separate offense.
