A. A certain
document titled National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA 70) National
Electrical Code, 2011, published by the National Fire Protection Association,
Inc., a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of
Scott City, Missouri, being marked and designated as the National
Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) NFPA 70 Electrical Code, 2011 is
hereby adopted as the Electrical Code of the City of Scott City, Missouri,
for the control of building and structures as provided herein and
each and all other regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions
and terms of the Electrical Code are hereby referred to, adopted and
made a part hereof, as of if fully set out in this Code, with additions,
insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in the Section
of this Code.
B. Any person violating the provisions of the Electrical Code shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished with a fine as set forth in Section
110.010(B) of the Code.

No person shall install new wiring, renovate fifty-one percent
(51%) or more of existing wiring, or replace any service panels, without
first obtaining a permit from the Building Inspector. The charge for
an electrical permit shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
