Except as provided in sections 350.02 and 350.045 of the Wisconsin
statutes, or for snowmobile events authorized under section 350.04
of the Wisconsin statutes, no person shall operate a snowmobile upon
any public right of way, in any public park, or on any other public
property in the city, except on routes or trails designated by resolution
of the council and in accord with the regulations of this chapter.

The approved routes and trails may be amended or revised as
necessary by approval of the public safety committee and upon authorization
of the council by resolution.

The council shall by resolution designate from time to time
a responsible party to post and obtain property owner consent to post
the approved routes and trails.

No person shall park or leave unattended any snowmobile on private
property without the consent of the owner, nor shall any snowmobile
be left parked unattended in any area where parking of a motor vehicle
is prohibited or restricted, except in compliance with any regulations
applicable to motor vehicles parked in such location.

No person shall fail to obey any route or trail sign, marker
or limit erected under this chapter or the Wisconsin statutes.

No person shall operate a snowmobile within the city, except
during the period commencing at 6:00 AM and ending at 1:00 AM on the
following day.

The council shall by resolution designate a responsible party
to carry liability insurance on the snowmobile routes and trails with
the city designated as an additional named insured.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall
upon conviction be subject to a class 4 forfeiture.
