The composition, terms of office, vacancies, functions and duties
of the Zoning Board of Adjustment shall be as provided by RSA 31,
as amended by ordinance.
A.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment shall consist of five members appointed
by the Board of Selectmen.
B.
The Selectmen shall also appoint no more than five alternate members
to serve on the Board whenever a regular member shall be absent. The
Chairman shall designate an alternate, if an alternate is present,
to act in the absent member's place.
Members and alternate members may be removed from the Zoning
Board of Adjustment by the Selectmen upon written charges and after
public hearing.
Vacancies in the membership and alternate membership of the
Zoning Board of Adjustment occurring otherwise than through the expiration
of term shall be filled for the duration of the unexpired term by
the Board of Selectmen.
The functions and duties of the Zoning Board of Adjustment shall
be as provided by RSA 31 and as amended, and by ordinance.
The Chairman, Vice Chairman and the Secretary shall be elected
annually by the members of the Board in the month of October from
its own membership.
