Any person, firm or corporation convicted of
a violation of this chapter by the Municipal Court of the Township
of Monroe shall be subject to a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment
in the county jail for not more than 90 days, or both, as the court
shall deem necessary in its judgment. Upon the second or subsequent
conviction, the court shall have the power to impose such fine or
imprisonment as provided by statute in such case made and provided.
Such fine or imprisonment shall in no way limit or restrict the Township
of Monroe the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board of the State of New
Jersey or the Commissioner of the Alcoholic Beverage Control in the
commencement of proceedings respecting the suspension or revocation
of the license or the prosecution of a crime.
