GENERAL REFERENCES
Cable television connections — See Ch. 77.
East Norriton Township hereby resolves to follow the rate regulations
established by the Federal Communications Commission for cable service for
which it has established a franchise.
Each fiscal year of East Norriton Township, the Township shall hold
a hearing to review the rates and service of the cable franchisee(s) operating
within the Township. Such hearing shall be held annually within the month
of September or October. The Township shall give written notice to the cable
franchisee(s) operating within the Township of the date of the public hearing
and shall publish notice of the public hearing consistent with the requirements
of state statute.
The following issues shall be presented at the hearing:
A.
Rate changes proposed by the franchisee(s) during the
year following the hearing [to be presented by franchisee(s)].
B.
Service changes proposed by the franchisee(s) during
the year following the hearing [to be presented by franchisee(s)].
C.
Rate changes made during the year preceding the hearing
by the franchisee(s) [to be presented by franchisee(s)].
D.
Service changes made by the franchisee(s) during the
year preceding the hearing [to be presented by franchisee(s)].
E.
The annual financial statement of the franchisee(s) [to
be presented by franchisee(s)].
F.
Public complaints and comments to be presented by the
public and the Township staff and supervisors with comment by the franchisee(s).
G.
Other topics which may impact upon or justify rate and
service changes by the franchisee(s).
The Township shall have all authority granted to it under applicable
federal and state statutes and regulations relating to regulation of rates
and service for cable television.
