Every driver's license issued under this article shall be effective
as of the date of issuance and shall expire on the 31st day of March next
succeeding unless sooner revoked by the Town Board.
Every applicant for a driver's license shall file a written verified
application with the Town Clerk upon forms to be obtained from the Town Clerk,
furnishing, among other things, the following:
A. The name, address, age and date of birth of the applicant.
B. A full description of the applicant, including his height,
weight, color of eyes and hair, any scars or marks and a statement that the
applicant is of good physical health and does not suffer from any disease
or addiction or infirmity which would impair his ability to operate a motor
vehicle.
C. The citizenship of the applicant.
D. All violations of any traffic law, local law, ordinance
or regulation of which the applicant has been convicted within 18 months prior
to the date of the application and all crimes of which the applicant has ever
been convicted, stating the name and location of the court in which, and the
date on which, each such conviction was rendered and the sentence imposed
therefor.
E. The number and date of issuance of the applicant's
New York State driver's license of a proper class.
F. Whether or not any driver's license of any class
held by the applicant has ever been revoked or suspended by the State of New
York or any other state and, if so, by what court or other authority, on what
date and for what cause and, if suspended, the period of such suspension.
G. Any other relevant information which the Town Clerk may
require.
Every applicant for a driver's license, at the time of submitting
his application, shall:
A. Submit three individual photographs of the applicant
taken within 30 days prior to the date of the application, 1 1/2 inches
by 1 1/2 inches in size, and such pictures must be a true likeness of
the applicant and must show only neck, shoulders and uncovered head.
B. Exhibit his current New York State driver's license
of a proper class for inspection.
C. Be fingerprinted by the Town Police Department. A fee
for the processing of said fingerprints shall be charged and collected by
the Police Department at the time the fingerprints are taken, which fee shall
be the then-current fee charged by the Division of Criminal Justice Services
for such review.

Upon receipt of any application, the Town Clerk shall refer the same
to the Town Police Department and any other law enforcement agency for such
investigation and report as may be deemed necessary or desirable.
Upon the receipt of the police report provided for in this chapter,
the Town Clerk shall issue a driver's license to the applicant if the
Town Clerk shall find that the applicant holds a New York State driver's
license of a proper class and is a fit and proper person to drive such vehicle,
considering his driving experience, police and accident records, character
and driving ability; otherwise such application shall be denied.
The driver's license issued hereunder shall not be transferable.
