A. 
In addition to registrations required by the Uniform Fire Code, the following non-life-hazard uses shall register with the Fire Prevention Bureau of the City of Passaic Fire Department and shall pay the annual fee as set forth below:

All categories shall be inspected once every five years, except R-A, which shall be inspected upon sale or change of tenant.

C. 
All residential uses except for R-A uses shall be inspected in the common areas only.
D. 
Any use required to register with the state as a life-hazard use shall not have to also register under the provisions of this section.
E. 
Any use which does not comport with the BOCA definition of the various use groups shall be classified for the purpose of this article as a business use.
F. 
Vacant buildings shall be subject to the annual registration and inspection according to the last previous use of the building.
For any inspection provided for within this article it shall be the duty and obligation of the owner and operator to make all parts of premises subject to inspection available and accessible for such inspections and to take whatever steps shall be necessary to facilitate such inspections. Inspections shall be made during regular working hours of the business or other occupant occupying said premises unless there is a reason to believe a violation exists of a character which is an immediate threat to safety which requires inspection and abatement without delay.
Where any owner or operator shall refuse to grant access for any inspection authorized under this article or where any owner or operator shall act in any way whatsoever to impede such inspection, including but not limited to concealing or falsifying the actual use of the premises or any portion thereof, such persons shall be in violation of this article and subject to the penalties hereunder, which penalties shall be in addition to any administrative penalties which may be imposed under the provisions of the Uniform Fire Safety Act or Uniform Fire Code.

A. 
In accordance with N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.9(c), the application fees for the permits required under N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.7 shall be as set forth in N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.9(c), as amended.

B. 
The application fee for a certificate of smoke detector/carbon monoxide alarm compliance, as required by N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.3, shall be $45 for the initial inspection. If a reinspection is required, the fee shall be $25.

Other than as set forth in § 139-14, enforcement and penalties for violations of this article shall be as set forth within the Uniform Fire Safety Act and Uniform Fire Code.
