C.
The Mayor and Council have set the following requirements as policy in regard to parades.
A.
The following list of regulations regarding parades held in the Town of Federalsburg must be adhered to by organizers and participants. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate ejection and will prohibit participation in future parades.

No items, including candy, are to be thrown into the crowds on the sidelines. Items may be handed to spectators by walkers, provided that it does not hold up the steady movement of the parade.

Specific areas will be designated for dropping off parade units and participants. All participants must comply with the direction of the Parade Committee, the Federalsburg Police Department, the Federalsburg Public Works Department or other Town officials.
(4)
Music and performance standards:
(a)
All music will be either hand-carried instruments (bands, drum units) or portable hand-carried units. Cars will not be allowed to accompany marching units to provide music.
(b)
Stopping to perform is permitted only in front of the judges stand for a period of no more than five minutes.
(c)
The Parade Committee must be notified of music being played, in advance, in order to determine proper placement in the parade line-up.
(d)
Behavior or actions deemed unbecoming by the Parade Committee will result in your group being prohibited from participation in future parades.
B.
All efforts to maintain an orderly and safe parade for participation units and spectators will be made. Any comments or concerns before, during or after the parade should be addressed to the Federalsburg Police Chief at 410-754-8966.
