It shall be the duty of all firefighters to respond immediately
upon the sounding of any alarms.

It shall be the duty of each firefighter to attend the regular
monthly firematic meetings of their company.

It shall be the duty of each member to notify the Captain of
the company within 10 days of any change made in their residence and,
on leaving the Borough or contiguous municipality for a longer period
than 30 days, the firefighter shall notify the Captain of the company
and obtain permission for such leave of absence. No leave of absence
shall continue for a longer period than one year.

On an alarm, the first arriving unit at the fire scene shall
take command until the arrival of their superior officers, and, in
the event there is only one superior officer present, then the firefighter
is to take assistant command.

It shall be the duty of each active member to attend a minimum
of one drill every two months and at least 12 drills a year. Drills
shall be called by the Chief of the Department or the Fire Company
Captain or designee.

Each active member of the Department shall attend and be in
actual recorded attendance and render fire service at not less than
15% of the regular alarms and a minimum of 12 drills answered by the
company of which he/she may be a member during any calendar year.
Active service years will only accumulate when 30% is met.
Any member found guilty by the Fire Board of misusing his/her
badge shall be subject to expulsion. Such expulsion is to be confirmed
by the Mayor and Council.
Hours of duty shall be 24 hours a day, including Saturday, Sunday
and holidays, family, health and job permitting, throughout the year.

Any member who has been arrested for any matter or charged with
a violation of N.J.S.A. 39:4-50 (driving while intoxicated) or N.J.S.A.
39:3-40 (driving while suspended) or whose driving privileges have
been suspended by any authority must immediately, but not later than
48 hours after the occurrence of the aforementioned, notify the Company
Captain in writing of the incident.
