Town of Wolfeboro, NH Chapter 152 Taxicabs

§ 152-1 Licensing.

The Selectmen shall license all taxicabs that they deem necessary for the best interest of the Town of Wolfeboro.

§ 152-2 License required.

No taxicab shall be operated in the Town of Wolfeboro without first obtaining a license from the Selectmen.

§ 152-3 Identification of licensed vehicles.

The Selectmen shall adopt some identifying mark, sticker or plate that shall be attached to each licensed taxicab.

§ 152-4 Requirements.

The taxicab shall be clean and sanitary, and the drivers shall be capable, courteous and careful.

§ 152-5 Fees.

The license fee shall be $25 for each taxicab.

§ 152-6 Proof of insurance.

The Selectmen shall require proof of reasonable insurance or bond for each taxicab for the protection of passengers riding therein.

§ 152-7 Violations and penalties.

Any person, or persons or a corporation operating a taxicab as defined by Chapter 146 Laws of 1943,[1] without a license or approved insurance or bond shall be fined $25 and costs of court for each offense.

§ 152-8 Disposition of fines.

All fines shall inure to the Town Treasury.
