No person shall engage in the business of operating
a car lot without first having obtained a license therefor from the
Village Clerk.
Application for such license, showing the location
of the proposed lot, shall be filed with the Village Clerk, accompanied
by the prescribed fee; and the license shall be issued to expire upon
April 30 next succeeding the date of application. Before issuance
of such license, the Clerk shall ascertain that the applicant is in
possession of any licenses required by the State of Michigan.
The annual license fee shall be $10.
All motor vehicles stored on such car lot shall
be in good operating condition and be offered for immediate sale.

The placing or storing of more than one vehicle
for sale on any lot in the Village of New Haven without complying
with the terms hereof shall constitute a violation of this chapter.
Any license granted hereunder may be temporarily
suspended for violation of the terms hereof or the violation of any
state law relating to the sale of motor vehicles, by the Chief of
Police or upon order of the Village Council, or any such license may
be revoked after a hearing by the Village Council.
