The owner or tenant of any real estate abutting upon any sidewalk, now in use within the Town, shall cause the same to be cleared of snow, ice or sleet within 24 hours after the ceasing to fall or accumulation of snow, ice or sleet from any other cause, and if the same cannot wholly be removed, shall cause sand or other suitable substance to be spread thereon so that sidewalks will be safe for travel.

Any person guilty of a violation of this article shall be penalized by noncriminal disposition and subject to a fine as set forth in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article I.
