Village of Chester, NY Article IV Vehicle Exclusions

§ 92-19 Exclusion of trucks from certain streets.

A. All trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations in excess of five tons gross weight are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIV (§ 92-42A).

B. All trucks and buses are hereby excluded from the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIV (§ 92-42B).

C. The regulations established in this section shall not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise or other property along the highways from which such vehicles and combinations are otherwise excluded.

§ 92-20 Exclusion of vehicles with cleats from all streets.

No person shall operate, propel, drive or tow any tractor or other motor vehicle upon any of the public streets, avenues or public places of the Village if the same is equipped with metal lugs, hobs or tires upon the wheels thereof, unless said lugs, hobs or tires are covered by rubber in order that no damage shall be done to the pavements of said streets, avenues or public places.
