The cost of sidewalks, whether new or replacement,
shall be paid by the Village in accordance with its budgetary process,
access to materials, labor and equipment and needs for public safety;
however, any person or entity causing damage to a sidewalk, by negligence
or intentional action, may be required to restore the sidewalk to
its immediate pre-existing condition at such party's sole expense.

No person shall erect or maintain any awning
overhanging the sidewalks in the Village of more than 10 feet in width
and with a clearance above the sidewalk of less than seven feet. Refer
to Section 3.6 of the Village of Chittenango Site and Architectural
Design Standards for Commercial Design Overlay Districts document[1] for additional design criteria.
