Clerk and which, with all explanatory matter thereon, is hereby made
a part of this chapter.
Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of any
of the aforesaid districts as shown on the Zoning Map, the following
rules shall apply:
A. Where district boundaries are indicated as approximately following
the centerlines of streets or highways, street lines or highway right-of-way
lines, such centerlines, street lines or highway right-of-way lines
shall be construed to be such boundaries.
B. Where district boundaries are so indicated that they approximately
follow the lot lines, such lot lines shall be construed to be said
boundaries.
C. Where district boundaries are so indicated that they are approximately
parallel to the centerlines or street lines of streets or the centerlines
or right-of-way lines of highways, such district boundaries shall
be construed as being parallel thereto and at a distance specified
on the Zoning District Map.
D. Where the boundary of a district follows a stream, lake or other
body of water, said boundary line shall be deemed to be at the limit
of the jurisdiction of the Town of Lake George, unless otherwise indicated.
E. All offshore islands in Lake George and within the Town of Lake George
shall be in the LCL and Conservation District.
F. Where district boundaries are so indicated that they approximately
follow the mean shoreline, such boundaries shall be construed as following
the shoreline; and in the event of change in the shore, such boundary
shall be construed as moving with the actual shoreline.
G. In unsubdivided land where a district boundary divides a lot, the
location of such boundary, unless the same is indicated by dimensions
shown on the map, shall be determined by the use of the scale appearing
thereon.
The boundaries within the Town of the land use areas established by the Official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map, as may be from time to time amended, pursuant to § 805, Subdivision 2, of the Executive Law, the Adirondack Park Agency Act, are indicated by the separate map entitled "Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map of the Town of Lake George," lawfully in existence on the first date of adoption of this chapter, which map accompanies this chapter and which is hereby adopted and declared to be part of this chapter and hereafter known as the "Park Plan Map." Any change of the boundaries within the Town of a land use area by an amendment of the official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map pursuant to § 805, Subdivision 2, of the Executive Law, the Adirondack Park Agency Act, shall take effect for the purposes of this chapter concurrently with that amendment without further action, and the Park Plan Map shall be promptly changed in accordance with that amendment. The amendment provisions of Article
XI of this chapter do not apply to the Park Plan Map, which is amended only pursuant to the provisions of the Adirondack Park Agency Act. Copies of the Park Plan Map, which may from time to time be published and distributed, are accurate only as of the date of their printing and shall bear words to that effect.
