A. 
No person shall disturb the peace and order in any park by fighting, quarreling or wrangling with loud voices or shouts, threatening by violence the person or property of others.
B. 
Switchblades, slingshots, bows and arrows, daggers, metal knuckles or other dangerous weapons are banned from the park. Only duly sworn law enforcement officers may carry weapons into a park.
C. 
The use of obscene, profane or abusive language while in the park shall be grounds for expulsion at the request of a law enforcement officer, the Director, Advisory Board or Town Board members or Town employees.
D. 
No person shall injure, deface, disturb or befoul any part of any building, sign, equipment or other property found in the parks nor shall any tree, flower, shrub, rock or other material be removed, injured or destroyed.
E. 
No person shall throw, cast, lay, drop, discharge, deposit, bring into or leave in any part of the park any garbage, sewage, refuse, waste or other obnoxious material other than in the proper receptacles provided for such purpose.
F. 
No person shall drive or propel or cause to be driven or propelled along or over any road within the park any vehicle at a greater rate of speed than as posted.
G. 
No person shall park or store or operate any car, camper, motorcycle, snowmobile, bicycle, wagon or other vehicle within the park except in places designated for such purposes or park or operate any such vehicle in the park after dark.
H. 
Gambling in the park is prohibited, and no persons shall have in their possession while in any park any implement or device commonly used or intended to be used for gambling purposes.
I. 
No person shall bring into the park any dog or other pet or domesticated animal unless the same is on a leash or in a cage.
J. 
Except as allowed pursuant to § 40-5 of this Code, no alcoholic beverages shall be allowed in the parks.

K. 
No person shall bathe, wade or swim within any park or swimming area, except at such pools or beaches therein as may be designated for that purpose by the Director, and shall only be permitted when a certified Town-employed lifeguard is on duty. Any exceptions shall be by permit only.
L. 
The use of life rafts, inner tubes and other objects intended to support persons is prohibited in any designated swimming area, except as otherwise permitted by the Director.
M. 
Boats, surfboards, water skis and similar aquatic equipment are prohibited within the designated swimming area.
N. 
Boats are allowed in Casey Park only with prior permission of the Director. No boat motors shall be permitted.
O. 
No diapered infants shall be permitted to wade or bathe in park water or swimming area unless wearing waterproof pants. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult in all designated swimming areas.
P. 
Overnight camping is permitted by permit only.

A. 
The Director, the Code Enforcement Officer, Assistant Code Enforcement Officers and members of any police agency having jurisdiction in the Town of Ontario shall, in connection with their duties imposed by law, diligently enforce the provisions of this chapter.
B. 
The Director, the Code Enforcement Officer, Assistant Code Enforcement Officers and members of any police agency having jurisdiction in the Town of Ontario shall have the authority to eject from the park any person acting in violation of this chapter.
C. 
Any person aggrieved by a ruling or decision of the Director can appeal such ruling or decision to the Town Board, in writing, within five calendar days of the ruling or decision. Failure to appeal within five days negates the appeal. The Town Board shall have seven calendar days to either sustain or overrule the Director's ruling or decision. A written decision shall be made and a copy provided to the person appealing such ruling or decision.
A. 
Violation of any provision or regulation of this chapter shall be a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $200 for the first offense and $300 for each and every subsequent events.
B. 
Nothing in this chapter shall operate to bar the enforcement of any state ordinance or law.
A. 
Hours. Except for unusual and unforeseen emergencies, parks shall be open to the public as posted by the Director.
B. 
Permits to use parks.
(1) 
Groups of 20 or more persons shall apply for a permit at least 14 calendar days prior to the day requested.
(2) 
Applications shall be filed with the Director upon forms to be supplied by her/him which shall include questions seeking such information as may reasonably be necessary for a fair determination as to whether or not a permit should be issued.
(3) 
The Director shall issue a permit when she/he finds:
(a) 
The proposed activity or use of the park will not unreasonably interfere with or detract from the general public enjoyment of the park.
(b) 
That the proposed activity or use will not unreasonably interfere with or detract from the promotion of public health, welfare, safety and recreation.
(c) 
That the proposed activity or use is not reasonably anticipated to incite violence, crime or disorderly conduct.
(d) 
That the proposed activity will not entail unusual, extraordinary or burdensome expense or police operation.
(e) 
That the facilities desired have not been reserved for other use on the day and at the hour requested in the application.
(f) 
That a refundable deposit is posted as security against damage to park facilities. This deposit may be required at the discretion of the Director in an amount to be determined by her/him in view of the circumstances of the application.
C. 
Liability insurance may be required by the Director for groups using the park facilities on a periodic basis depending on the type of activity, the number of people involved and the possibility of injury or damage. Such determination shall be the sole determination of the Director.
D. 
Within five calendar days after receipt of an application, the Director shall appraise an applicant in writing of her/his decision regarding the permit. If the permit is refused for any reason, the reason shall be so stated and any aggrieved person or party shall have the right to appeal in writing within five calendar days to the Town Board. The Board shall have seven calendar days either to sustain or overrule the Director's ruling or decision.
E. 
Effect of a permit.
(1) 
A permittee shall be bound by all park rules and regulations and all applicable local laws fully as though the same were inserted in said permit.
(2) 
The permit shall cover use of the described site only and shall not include permission to use any other area.
(3) 
A permittee shall be present during the event.
(4) 
The person or persons to whom a permit is issued shall be liable for any loss, damage or injury sustained by any person by whatever reason of negligence of the person or persons to whom such has been issued. The permittee shall also be responsible for any damage done to any physical properties under the jurisdiction of the Town.
F. 
Revocation of a permit. The Director shall have the authority to revoke a permit upon a finding of a violation of any rule or local law or upon good cause shown.
