The Board of Trustees shall have the authority to alter by resolution any traffic regulations provided that any such change may not be implemented without a public hearing conducted on not less than 10 days' notice.

Except as otherwise provided herein, any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter may, upon conviction, be punished for the first offense by a fine not exceeding $100; and for the second offense, by a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $200 or by imprisonment for no more than 15 days, or both; and the third or any subsequent offense within 18 months may be punishable by a fine not exceeding $500 or by imprisonment not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

A. 
Any person convicted of a parking violation under any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a fine set by the Board of Trustees in the License and Permit Fee Schedule on file in the Village Clerk’s office.
B. 
Failure to pay fine when due. Failure to pay the fine as set forth in Subsection A above within 60 days of issuance of the parking violation will result in the doubling of the fine every 60 days for an additional fine of $150 maximum.
