The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule VIII (§ 189-32), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IX (§ 189-33), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule X (§ 189-34) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule X, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XI (§ 189-35) at any time between the hours listed in said Schedule XI of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XI, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The locations described in Schedule XII (§ 189-36), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones.

The Board of Trustees may, from time to time as the need arises, designate, by simple resolution, parking spaces reserved for disabled persons, and only such persons are permitted to park in such designated areas using automobiles with special permits and license plates for disabled persons. Appropriate signage shall be installed at such locations by the Department of Public Works. This authority is limited to public property and streets.

No vehicle trailer shall be parked or stand on any public street or highway or any part thereof, except that business and commercial vehicle trailers, to the extent consistent with all other applicable parking regulations, may be parked or stand along Village streets and highways in the Village between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, provided they are necessary and incidental to the performance of work on a Village lot during the time such work is being performed, and further provided that they are parked or are standing on that portion of the street or highway immediately adjacent to the property being serviced.

A. 
Designation of parking lots.
(1) 
The following properties, owned and maintained by the Village, are hereby designated as Village parking lots, the use of which for the parking of motor vehicles shall be subject to the provisions of this section:
(a) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 1: 1 1 1 Schipps Lane.
(b) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 2: 2 Senior Way.
(c) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 3: Wallace Avenue (between Charles Street and Main Street).
(d) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 4: Everett Place (after its intersection with Saracino Drive).
(e) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 5: Rakov Road (east end by David Weiss Park).
(f) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 6: Rakov Road (west end of Rakov Road).
(g) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 7: Saracino Drive (north of its intersection with Blake Road).
(h) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 8: Saracino Drive (south of its intersection with Blake Road).
(i) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 9: Watts Lane (at its intersection with Blake Road).
(j) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 10: Blake Road (at the intersection with Saracino Drive).
(k) 
Municipal Parking Lot No. 11: Country Club Drive (at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Saracino Drive at David Weiss Park).
(2) 
A complete description of the municipal parking lots is on file with the Village Clerk and Police Department.
B. 
Parking regulations in municipal parking lots.
(1) 
In any of the municipal parking lots listed in Subsection A, it shall be prohibited for:
(a) 
Any vehicle to be parked for longer than the posted time.
(b) 
Any vehicle to be operated in excess of the posted speed.
(c) 
Any oversized vehicle to be parked or loaded.
(d) 
Any vehicle to be parked other than in a marked parking space where such parking spaces have been provided.
(e) 
Any dumping or littering to occur.
(f) 
Any vehicle to be serviced, repaired, painted or cleaned (inside or outside).
(g) 
Any vehicle to remain in a municipal parking lot for longer than 24 consecutive hours from November 1 through April 1.
(2) 
No vehicle that exceeds 20 feet in length shall be permitted to use the Village-owned parking lots.
C. 
Enforcement; penalties for offenses. The Village of Maybrook Police Department is authorized to remove any vehicle found to be in violation of this section. In addition to any other penalties provided in this chapter, any vehicle in violation of this section may be towed at the owner's expense, and the owner shall be liable for any storage fees that are incurred after towing.

It shall be unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle in any manner except parallel to the curb headed in the direction of lawful traffic along Main Street between Tower Avenue and the railroad crossing.
