The Town Board of the Town of Stony Point recognizes that there is a continuing disturbance of the peace and quiet enjoyment of the residents of the Town of Stony Point by persons loitering in certain public places for extended periods of time and during the nighttime hours and, specifically, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
It shall be unlawful for any person to loiter, remain or wander about without apparent reason or under circumstances which disturb the peace and quiet enjoyment of any resident of the Town of Stony Point between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. in any public place within the town which has been posted by order of the Town Board with signs prohibiting such loitering between such hours.
A conviction under this chapter shall constitute a violation, and any person so convicted shall be subject to a fine of not more than $250 or 15 days imprisonment, or to both said fine and imprisonment for each offense.
