[Adopted as Ch. 10.08 of the 1998 Code]
The Town, at its expense, shall furnish and
install water meters with remote reading units in the customer's basement,
where feasible. In cases where such is not feasible, the Town shall
furnish and install water meters with meter vaults.
The customers, at their expense, shall install
and maintain water service lines from property lines to improvements
on each separate lot or parcel of land.
Service lines, meters and appurtenances thereto
and installation thereof shall be in accordance with the Building
Code of Carroll County.
A.
In the event the customer fails to maintain the water
service line from the property line to improvements on each separate
lot or parcel of land, the Town shall have the right to discontinue
service to such improvements upon written notice to the customer.
B.
Service shall not be restored until satisfactory repairs
have been made.
Title to all meters, meter vaults and remote
meter reading units are vested in and the same shall, at all times,
remain the sole property of the Town and shall not be trespassed upon
or interfered with in any respect.
