Editor's Note: Ordinance No. 2001, adopted 11-12-1996, provided as follows: "The Council of the Municipality of Monroeville hereby establishes that the appointment, wages, hours, benefits, and removal of the Municipal Manager shall be accomplished by Ordinance in conformity with the requirements of Article V of the Home Rule Charter of the Municipality of Monroeville." Monroeville shall reimburse the Manager of Monroeville at the rate as provided by ordinance, payable biweekly.
Monroeville shall compensate the Manager for documented expenses incurred in the performance of the Manager's duties, including but not limited to:
A. 
Travel expenses and telephone charges.
B. 
Appropriate professional organizations' dues, and expenses incurred in connection with the Manager's attendance at any professional conferences, courses or seminars, relevant to the Manager's duties hereunder, which are approved in advance by Monroeville.
Monroeville shall contribute, at the rate of $2,500 per year, payable in monthly installments to the Manager's retirement account with the International City Management Association Retirement Corporation, with the first such payment to be made within 30 days after June 9, 1987, and continuing during the term of the Manager's appointment.
For a period of up to two years, Monroeville shall reimburse the Manager up to a maximum amount equal to $2,500 per year for tuition at an institution of higher education towards the Manager's acquisition of his doctorate degree.
