Effective April 1, 1993, all buildings within Patterson Township shall
be numbered, and the building numbers shall be displayed on the exterior of
the building as set forth herein.
On and after the effective date of this article, all buildings within
Patterson Township shall display a building number according to the following
location and size:
A. Location. Building numbers shall be displayed in close
proximity to the front or main door of the building in a location not more
than one foot away from the front or main door of the building, so that the
building numbers are clearly visible from the street. If the area within one
foot of the main door is not clearly visible from the main street, then the
number shall be displayed as close to the main door as possible so as to be
visible from the street.
B. Size of numbers. Each number of the building number that
is required to be displayed as set forth herein shall be at least three inches
wide by five inches high and shall be readily visible from the street or highway
on which the building fronts.

Any Township resident who is found to be in violation in this article,
after 10 days' notice from the Township, shall be subject to a fine of
up to $1,000 plus costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such
fine and costs, to imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding
30 days.
