All truck traffic and the operation of trucks is hereby prohibited
upon any of the streets or portions of streets listed below, provided
that nothing herein shall prohibit the operation of any truck on any
streets or portions of streets listed below where such operation thereon
shall be necessary in order to pick up or deliver any goods, wares,
merchandise or people from or to any premises located upon such street
or portion thereof:

Any person, persons, partnership, firm, organization or corporation
who shall operate a truck or trucks in violation of this article shall
be liable, upon conviction in a summary proceeding, to a fine of $500
and costs of prosecution for each and every offense and, in default
of the payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for
a period not exceeding 10 days.
