15:1-1.1 
   Words and phrases defined. Whenever any words and phrases are used in this chapter, the meanings respectively ascribed to them in Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey shall be deemed to apply to such words and phrases used herein.
15:1-2.1 
     Regulations not exclusive. The provisions of this section imposing a time limit on parking shall not relieve any person of the duty to observe other and more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles as set forth in N.J.S.A. 39:4-138, any other New Jersey statute or as hereinafter provided.
15:1-2.2 
     Parking prohibited at all times on certain streets. No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule I attached to and made a part of this chapter.
15:1-2.3 
     Parking prohibited during certain hours on certain streets. No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule II of any day (except Sundays and public holidays) upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule II attached to and made a part of this chapter.
15:1-2.4 
     Stopping or standing prohibited during certain hours on certain streets. No person shall stop or stand a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule III of any day (except Sundays and public holidays) upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule III attached to and made a part of this chapter.
15:1-2.5 
     Parking time limited on certain streets. No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown on Schedule II at any time between the hours listed in said Schedule II of any day (except Sundays and public holidays) upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule II attached to and made a part of this chapter.
15:1-2.6 
     Parking prohibited by certain vehicles in certain zones. There shall be no parking of any vehicle having a gross weight in excess of 12,000 pounds on any street or area described in Schedule XIX between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day.
15:1-2.7 
     Parking prohibited for more than four hours for certain vehicles in all zones.
A. 
No person shall park a vehicle having a gross weight in excess of 12,000 pounds or any unattended trailer on any street or land devoted to the public parking of vehicles or parking places which are open to the public or to which the public is invited for more than four consecutive hours.
B. 
Section 15:1-2.7A shall not apply to vehicles parked in parking spaces approved for such size vehicles by the Township of Burlington on a site plan at sites such as hotels, motels, restaurants, truck terminals, or loading docks.
15:1-3.1 
    Trucks over four tons excluded from certain streets. Trucks over four tons' gross weight are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of the streets described in Schedule V except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets, said Schedule V being attached to and made a part of this chapter.
15:1-4.1 
    One-way streets designated. The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VI attached hereto and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as "one-way streets" in the direction indicated.
15:1-5.1 
    Through streets designated. Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140, the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VII attached hereto and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as "through streets." Stop signs shall be installed on the near-right side of each street intersecting the through street except where yield signs are provided for in the designations.

15:1-5.2 
    Stop intersections designated. Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140, the intersections described in Schedule VIII attached hereto and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as "stop intersections." Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
15:1-5.3 
    Yield intersections designated. Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140, the intersections described in Schedule IX attached hereto and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as "yield intersections." "YIELD RIGHT OF WAY" signs shall be installed as provided therein.
15:1-5.4 
    Intersections controlled by traffic control signals. Pursuant to the provisions of Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes, the intersections described in Schedule X attached hereto and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as "intersections controlled by a traffic control signal." The traffic signal installation shall be in accordance with the provisions of law and shall conform to the design and shall be maintained in operation as authorized by the Department of Transportation.
15:1-6.1 
     Loading zones designated. The locations described in Schedule XI attached hereto and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as loading zones.
15:1-7.1 
     Taxi stands designated. The locations described in Schedule XII attached hereto and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as taxi stands.
15:1-8.1 
     Bus stops designated. The locations described in Schedule XIII attached hereto and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as bus stops.
15:1-9.1 
     Left or right turn prohibitions to or from designated private properties. At the written request of the property owner, the Council may prohibit left and/or right turns from, or onto, properties designated in Schedule XIV attached hereto and made a part of this chapter. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:5A-1, the police shall enforce certain provisions of Subtitle 1 of Title 39 on the designated properties.

15:1-9.2 
     U-turn prohibitions. No person shall make a U-turn at any of the locations described in Schedule XV attached hereto and made a part of this chapter.
15:1-9.3 
     No turns. No person shall make a turn at any of the locations described in Schedule XVI attached hereto and made a part of this chapter.
15:1-10.1 
     Parking regulations. No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets which are open to the public or to which the public is invited whether operated and maintained separately or in conjunction with any business or enterprise as more particularly set forth on Schedule I attached hereto and made a part of this chapter.
15:1-10.2 
     Exit and entrance ways regulated. Pursuant to the authority contained in N.J.S.A. 40:48-2.46 and 39:4-197(h), parking yards and parking places which are open to the public or to which the public is invited and which are located within the Township of Burlington, more particularly set forth on Schedule XVIII attached hereto and made a part hereof, shall have their exits and entranceways designated one-way travel, in the direction indicated.

15:1-11.1 
Only electric vehicles are permitted to park in parking spaces designated for electric vehicle supply/service equipment, which spaces are described in Schedule XXII attached hereto and made a part of this chapter.
15:1-11.2 
Penalty. The penalty for a non-electric vehicle being parked in an EVSE designated parking space shall be as set forth in § 330-99C(4)(c)[3].

15:1-12.1 
Penalties. Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey statute, or this Code, every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this chapter for a first offense shall be liable to a minimum fine of $100, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both. Subsequent offenses may be subject to the general penalty provisions set forth in the Code.
