The Community Development Committee is hereby
authorized by Borough Council to implement the following changes in
regard to parking policies:
A.
Create and change parking meter areas, including the
right to establish a maximum time period for parking as well as the
rate per hour for parking, providing, however, that the rate per hour
shall be no greater than the highest existing rate per hour for parking
in Indiana Borough at a meter.
B.
To establish, change and regulate loading zones.
C.
To designate handicapped parking spaces.
Any changes made to the existing parking regulations
shall not take effect until all such parking spaces and zones are
marked in an appropriate manner including the signage for the zoned
area and appropriate markings on the meters.
Any decisions made by the Community Development
Committee regarding the aforementioned matters may be overruled by
Borough Council by motion duly passed by a majority of any members
present at any Council meeting.
