---|
The Borough of Hampton has decided to create
a Length of Service Awards Program (LOSAP) for members of the Borough
of Hampton Emergency Squad that serve the citizens of the Borough
of Hampton. The Borough of Hampton has determined that the creation
of a LOSAP will enhance the ability of the Borough of Hampton Emergency
Squad to recruit and retain volunteer first aid squad members. The
general requirements for a LOSAP are set forth in state law (N.J.S.A.
40A:14-183 et seq.).
|
Each volunteer emergency squad member that performs
the required amount of service will have $600 deposited in a tax deferred
income account that will earn interest for the volunteer.
|
The cost will be budgeted annually in the budget
of the Borough of Hampton and is anticipated to be $11,400 per year.
|
Additional details of the program may be found
in the ordinance adopted by the Borough of Hampton, which is available
for public inspection, along with a copy of the State enabling law
at the Borough Clerk's Office, Hampton, New Jersey between the hours
of 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
