Any person or persons, firms or corporations servicing, repairing or installing oil burners, gas burners or heaters of a similar type or all types of domestic water supply, such as electric water heaters, automatic gas water heaters or summer-winter hookups, in the Borough of Eddystone, are hereby required to register with the Borough Plumbing Inspector and obtain a permit prior to commencement of any work in the Borough. Each application must be accompanied by a registration fee of $20 each year, as set forth in the schedule of fees in § 156-17.

The applicant must file with the Plumbing Inspector a drawing acceptable to said Plumbing Inspector, detailing the repairs or service to be rendered to the resident of the Borough or the premises in the Borough. All work shall be done in compliance with the provisions of Chapter 143, Fire Prevention, and Chapter 222, Plumbing, of the Borough of Eddystone.

Each application shall be accompanied by a permit fee in the sum of $20 for all new installations, relocations or any major changes, such as installation or replacement of an oil tank.

The following is a schedule of fees as hereinbefore mentioned in § 156-14:
A. 
Permit for domestic water supply: $10.
B. 
Permit for registration: $20.
C. 
Permit for major changes: $20.

The Plumbing Inspector shall receive such compensation for the performance of his duties as established by the Borough Council.

Any person who shall be convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this article before any District Justice shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 and costs of prosecution and, in default thereof, to imprisonment in the county jail for a term not to exceed 30 days.
