It has come to the attention of the Township
Committee that in order to assure that Township roads are safe and
convenient for traveling during all seasons of the year it is necessary
to adopt regulations to protect such roads and road surfaces and rights-of-way.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to tear up or excavate any Township road for any purpose
without the prior consent of the Township Committee with the recommendation
of the Township Engineer.
It shall be unlawful to fill up, cause to fill
up or allow to be filled up the gutters, ditches, inlets, and storm
drainage facilities along any Township road. It shall be unlawful
to obstruct or damage any Township road by spilling or throwing stones,
dirt or other materials thereon.
It shall be unlawful to construct a driveway
or other road so as to intersect with any Township road without the
prior consent of the Township Committee with the recommendation of
the Township Driveway Inspector and the Township Engineer.
The phrase "Township road" as used in this article
shall be construed to mean all roads within the Township subject to
the control of the Township of Blairstown.
