Editor's Note: Former Ch. 76, Burning, Outdoor, adopted as Sec. 10-2 (Ord. No. 49) of the 1977 Revised General Ordinances, was repealed 12-13-2017 by Ord. No. 2017-06.
A. 
Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7.27-2.1 et seq., a permit is required from the Department of Environmental Protection for outdoor burning activities.
B. 
All open burning must conform to the New Jersey Fire Prevention Code, N.J.A.C. 5:70-3.1 et seq.
C. 
Recreational fires require a permit pursuant to N.J.S.A. 13:9 et seq.
In addition to the prohibitions contained in N.J.A.C. 5:70-3.1 et seq., N.J.A.C. 7.27-2.1 et seq. and 13:9 et seq., the following outdoor open-burning activities are strictly prohibited:
A. 
Salvage operations.
B. 
Disposal of rubbish, garbage, trade waste, buildings or structures.
C. 
Disposal of fallen leaves.
D. 
Disposal of any plant life, except as permitted under N.J.A.C. 7:27-2.1 et seq.
Requirements of this chapter are enforced by the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety.
