Healthcare and pension withholding:
A. Non-healthcare stipend: $4,000 annually, paid biweekly.
B. Non-uniformed employees hired or promoted before January 1, 2018:
$550 reimbursement for health expenses (no vision or dental). (Only
Szabo qualifies for this benefit.)
C. Non-uniformed employees: $0 towards healthcare costs.
D. Non-uniformed, full-time employees: $150 per year reimbursed for
work boots.
E. Non-uniformed,
full-time employees longevity: $50 per year of service, with a cap
of $1,000.
F. Non-uniformed pension contribution (for full-time employees hired
or promoted before 2018): 0% in accordance with the Auditor General's
recommendation.
G. Non-uniformed employees hired or promoted after 2018 are not included
in the Borough's "Defined Benefit Pension" and will be enrolled in
a "Defined Contribution Pension." The 2023 Borough contribution to
the DC Plan will be 8% of the base annual wage per full-time employee
included in the DC Plan.
H. Uniformed pension contribution: 4% in accordance with the Auditor
General's recommendation.
I. All benefits for the full-time police officers are listed in the
current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
J. All full-time employees may voluntarily open a 457 Retirement Account.
K. The Police
Chief has a separate annual agreement listing all benefits and stipulations.

The compensations, salaries and bonds fixed
under this chapter may be changed by Council, by motion, regularly
passed, and any appointments hereunder (in the case where Council
has the power to dismiss) may be dismissed at any time by Council.
The intent of this chapter being that the offices subject to regular
appointment, together with salaries and bonds as may be herein also
designated, shall be in force until Council, by motion or ordinance
otherwise decide.
