Unless the context specifically and clearly indicates otherwise,
the word "person" shall mean any individual, partnership, company,
association, society, public or private corporation, or other group
or entity.
The Commissioners hereby create a fire hydrant district encompassing
the entire area of the Township of South Whitehall.

The Commissioners hereby leavy a tax on all improved property
in said Township located within 780 feet of a fire hydrant to which
the Township is supplying and maintaining water for the safety and
convenience of the inhabitants of the Township, for the Fiscal Year
1991, and each year thereafter until amended or repealed, as follows:
the sum of 1/2 of one mill on each dollar of the assessed valuation
of said property, the assessed valuation being based on the assessment
for county purposes as established for general taxation; or the sum
of $0.00833 on each $100 of assessed valuation.
All persons supplying or maintaining water and fire hydrants
which are accessible to the inhabitants of the Township shall annually
be required to have said hydrants inspected by a volunteer fire company
operating within the Township of South Whitehall to determine if the
hydrant is operable and the amount of water pressure that exists at
said hydrant. The inspecting fire company shall report the results
of its inspection in writing to the Township Manager.

Any person who shall fail to comply with the provisions of §
328-4 of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not to exceed $600 plus costs and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation of this article continues shall constitute a separate offense.
