The Collector of Revenue shall be appointed by the Town Manager and shall receive and collect all taxes and assessments payable to the Town and such other fees and charges as may be assigned to the Collector of Revenue for collection by the Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Town Manager. Except as otherwise provided in this Charter, the Collector of Revenue shall have such powers and duties as are conferred or imposed on tax collectors of towns by the General Statutes. In addition to any other persons designated by the Charter, the Collector of Revenue shall have the power to execute and release all liens provided for by the Charter.
