No person, firm or corporation shall throw or deposit or cause to be thrown or deposited into any drain, catch basin, sewer or gutter in the Village of Coxsackie any substance which may cause obstruction or injury thereto or nuisance therein, nor shall any person divert or stop the flow of any drain or sewer or gutter or catch basin in the Village of Coxsackie.

No person, persons or corporation owning or occupying any house or other building shall cause, permit or suffer the water from any cellar, sink or cesspool or the filth from any privy or water closet connected with such house or building to be discharged, thrown or run into any of the streets, highways or alleys of said Village on the surface or the open gutters thereof; nor shall such water or filth be conducted into or across any of the said streets or alleys beneath the surface thereof except in such places and in such manner as shall be designated or permitted by the Board of Trustees.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of Part 1 of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
