It shall be unlawful for any person, at any time, to hunt for, take, kill, or pursue, or attempt to hunt for, take, kill or pursue with a gun, firearm, bow and arrow or any dangerous weapon of any kind or character wild birds, animals or fowl of any kind within the Borough of Chesilhurst.
A. 
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $2,000, imprisonment for a period not exceeding 90 days and/or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days, within the discretion of the Municipal Court Judge of the Borough of Chesilhurst.
B. 
Any person who is convicted of violating this chapter within one year of the date of a previous violation of the same chapter, and who was fined for the previous violation, shall be sentenced by the court to an additional fine as a repeat offender. The additional fine imposed by the court upon a person for a repeated offense shall not be less than the minimum or exceed the maximum fine fixed for a violation of this chapter, but shall be calculated separately from the fine imposed for the violation of the chapter.
