Town of Hadley, MA Article IV Lien for Municipal Charges

§ 86-8 Statutory authority; interest.

Municipal charges and fees, together with interest thereon and costs related thereto, shall constitute a lien upon real property pursuant to MGL c. 83, §§ 16A to 16F, inclusive, and MGL c. 40, §§ 42A to 42F, inclusive. Interest shall be charged on all overdue municipal charges, including water and sewer charges, at a rate of 14% per annum or such other rate as may be established by the Town Tax Collector consistent with MGL c. 59, § 57.
