All trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations in excess of the indicated gross weights are hereby excluded from the streets and highways, or parts thereof, described in Schedule XIV (§ 528-40).
The regulations established in this section shall not be construed
to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise or other property
along the highways from which such vehicles and combinations are otherwise
excluded.
The parking of trucks of a certain weight indicated is hereby prohibited on the streets and highways, or parts thereof, described in Schedule XIV (§ 528-40).
Vehicles having a total gross weight in excess of 10,000 pounds shall
not be parked upon any streets or any public parking areas in the
Town of Dickinson, outside the municipal boundaries of the Village
of Port Dickinson, which are located in or contiguous to the following
zoning districts:
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to park
a trailer, motor home, mobile home, boat, or any other type of trailer,
on any street, alley, right-of-way or other public place. No trailer,
motor home, mobile home, boat, or any other type of trailer, shall
be parked, used or occupied on any tract or parcel of land, except
as provided in § 528-21(B)(2).
Trailers, motor homes, mobile homes, boats, or any other type of
trailers, may be placed on a residential lot for the purpose of storage,
as set forth herein. Trailers, motor homes, mobile homes, boats, or
any other type of trailers, may be parked in the driveway, side or
rear yard of residential lots, but shall not parked within the side
or rear yard setbacks defined in this Code. Trailers, motor homes,
mobile homes, boats, or any other type of trailers, parked on residential
lots shall maintain a minimum street setback of 10 feet, and shall
comply with all other provisions of this Code concerning road and
intersection visibility.
Restrictions on commercial
trucks. Commercial trucks (including any commercial trailers towed
by such trucks) with an unladen weight of 10,500 pounds or more may
not be parked on any residential property zoned R-1, R-2, R-M and
R-MH. Vehicles used in conjunction with a public utility or emergency
service providers, including tow trucks, are exempted from this restriction.[1]
