Township of Alloway, NJ Article III Attorney

§ 18-4 Creation of office; appointment; term and duties.

Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 200 of the Laws of 1971 (N.J.S.A. 40A:9-139), there is hereby created the office of Municipal Attorney, who shall be designated as the "Township Attorney."

A. Appointment. The Township Attorney shall be appointed by the Township Committee.

B. Term. The term of the Township Attorney shall be one year, expiring on December 31 of each year.

C. Duties. The Township Attorney shall perform such duties as are assigned from time to time by the Township Committee.

§ 18-5 Compensation.

The Township Attorney shall be paid for services actually rendered to the Township at the prevailing rates for services.
