Editor's Note: This article was originally adopted in 1979 by Ord. No. 60 (Ch. 12.16 of the 1983 Municipal Code) and was relocated in this Zoning Chapter at the Town's request. Former Ch. 12.16 was amended 1984 by Ord. No. 151.
All lots, buildings and structures in the Town shall be numbered in accordance with the following plan:
A. 
North and south numbers shall commence at Pine Street, east and west number shall commence at Tyler Avenue. Odd numbers shall be on the east and north sides of the street; even numbers shall be on the south and west sides of the streets. House or building numbers for structures set behind existing buildings shall have the same number as the building in front with proper fraction added. Apartments, office or business suites, trailer courts and condominiums shall have street address assigned to the structure with the addition of either a numerical or alphabetical designation for each separate unit.
The Town Planning and Zoning Administrator's office shall keep a record showing the proper street number of every lot or structure in Town of which the owner or occupants of such property has requested and received such designation. These records shall be open to inspection by any interested person.
It shall be the duty of every building and residence owner or occupant to place numbered symbols on their residence or building which are visible from the street. The symbols shall be a minimum of three inches in height and shall contrast with their background, so as to be easily visible from the street under low-light conditions by emergency vehicles, pedestrians and vehicular traffic.
Any person, business or firm who violates any provisions of this article is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be subject to the penalty provisions of Chapter 1, Article IV, General Penalty.
