The following procedures are established when an application
is made for the issuance or renewal of a license or permit:
A. Any applicant who requests the issuance or renewal of any license
or permit issued by or requiring the approval of the Mayor and Council
or of any agency, subdivision or department of the Borough which issues
permits shall be required to pay any delinquent property taxes or
assessments if such applicant is the owner of said property wherein
the business or activity is to be conducted.
B. Any license or permit issued by the Mayor and Council or by any agency,
subdivision or department of the Borough may be revoked or suspended
by the governing body when any licensee or permittee owning the property
upon which the licensed business or activity is conducted has failed
to pay taxes due on the property for at least three consecutive quarters.
C. Upon payment of the delinquent taxes or assessments, the license
or permit shall be restored.
D. The provisions of this article shall not apply to or include any
alcoholic beverage license or permit issued pursuant to the Alcoholic
Beverage Control Act (N.J.S.A. 33:1-1 et seq).
