The Open Space Director shall have the following duties:
A. To maintain an inventory of open space areas within the Township.
For purposes of this chapter, "open space areas" shall mean those
areas owned and maintained by the Township and that are subject to
deed or other restrictions prohibiting their development for commercial
and residential purposes.
B. To increase public awareness of the availability of the open space
areas for recreational purposes and to promote the appropriate use
of these areas.
C. To suggest rules and regulations concerning the use of open space
areas, provided that any such rules and regulations shall be subject
to review by Mayor and Council and shall not take effect until formally
adopted by ordinance.
D. To observe and monitor open space areas, determine whether persons
are using those spaces in compliance with the rules and regulations
concerning the use of same and issue summonses for violations of the
rules and regulations.
E. To serve as a liaison with state and county agencies with respect
to open space issues.
F. To report to the Mayor and Council and inform the Mayor and Council
of issues and events affecting or pertaining to open space issues.
Upon any vacancy in the office of Open Space Director, the Mayor
shall appoint an individual to serve as Open Space Director for the
remainder of the unexpired year.

The purpose of this article is to create the administrative
mechanisms needed for the execution of Allamuchy Township's responsibility
to assist in the provision of affordable housing pursuant to the Fair
Housing Act of 1985.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated.
MUNICIPAL HOUSING LIAISON
The employee charged by the governing body with the responsibility
for oversight and administration of the affordable housing program
for the Township of Allamuchy.
