All Township employees shall be at their assigned posts or points
of duty at the regular starting time for each working day unless on
vacation, absent or on leave of absence.
Any lateness of a Township employee and the reason for the same
shall be noted on the time report. Recurring or chronic tardiness
shall be referred to the Council by the Township Clerk for appropriate
action and may be the basis for disciplinary action against the offending
employee.
It is the responsibility of each Township employee to notify
his or her superior or the Township Clerk or, in the case of the Township
Clerk, the Deputy Township Clerk without delay if he or she will be
absent or delayed in reaching his or her assigned post.
Unless a department of the Township or certain positions within
a department are regularly assigned a greater or lesser number of
hours per week, the normal hours of work for full-time Township employees
are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each full-time employee
shall be entitled to take a lunch break of one hour, which must be
coordinated so as to provide coverage for office services.
