A. It shall be unlawful for any person to intentionally possess marijuana
unless it was obtained pursuant to a valid prescription or order of
a practitioner while acting in the course of his professional practice,
or except as otherwise authorized by the Controlled Substances Act,
NMSA 1978 § 30-31-1 et seq.
B. Any person convicted of violating Subsection
A of this section shall pay a fee of $75 to defray the costs of chemical or other analyses. This fee shall be in addition to other penalties for violations which may be provided by law. All funds collected pursuant to this subsection shall be transmitted to the administrative office of the courts pursuant to NMSA 1978 § 31-12-9.
It shall be unlawful to practice or engage in fortunetelling,
palmistry, reading futures and the like.
