The following ordinances or parts of ordinances are hereby specifically
repealed.
A. Section 38 of the ordinance adopted July 10, 1935.
B. Section 38A of the ordinance adopted February 10, 1941.
C. Section 38B of the ordinance adopted January 29, 1959.
Every person convicted of a traffic infraction or a violation
of any provision of the foregoing ordinances, which is not a violation
of any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New
York, and for which no penalty has been provided in any of the foregoing
ordinances, shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by
a fine of not more than $50. For a second such conviction within 18
months thereafter, such person shall be punished by a fine of not
more than $100. Upon a third or subsequent conviction within 18 months
after the first conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine
of not more than $250.
To the extent that any provision of this chapter is inconsistent
with any provision of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law,
this article is intended to supersede same.
