As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
PERSON
Any individual, partnership, firm, association, trust, company,
joint venture or corporation.
Any person who knowingly and willfully violates §
330-3 of this article shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 and up to one year's imprisonment.
The prohibitions contained in §
330-3 of this article shall not apply in those instances in which at least one parent or legal guardian of such individual under the age of 18 years consents, in writing, to such body piercing. This writing shall be notarized and filed in person at the place of business where the body piercing takes place.
This article shall apply to actions occurring on or after the
effective date of this article.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
CERTIFIED TATTOO ARTIST
Any individual who applies tattoos and has been certified
by the Suffolk County Department of Health Services as a certified
body artist or has been certified, registered or otherwise licensed
by another jurisdiction and has written documentation of same.
CERTIFIED TATTOO ARTIST APPRENTICE
Any individual who is supervised in the application of tattoos
by a certified tattoo artist and who has been certified by the Suffolk
County Department of Health Services as a certified body artist apprentice.
PERSON
Any individual, firm, partnership, corporation, company,
society, association, or any organized group of persons, whether incorporated
or not.
TATTOO EQUIPMENT
Any machine or mechanical instrument manufactured and used
solely to apply tattoos.
No person shall sell tattoo equipment to another person within
Suffolk County unless the prospective purchaser provides written documentation
that he/she is a certified tattoo artist or certified tattoo artist
apprentice.
Persons selling tattoo equipment in violation of any portion
of this article shall be guilty of an unclassified misdemeanor, punishable
by a fine not to exceed $1,000 and/or up to one year in jail.
This article shall apply to all actions occurring on or after
the effective date of this article.
