Every park in the Village shall be closed to the public a half hour after sunset and a half hour before sunrise, and all members of the public shall leave the park during the times in which the park is closed, subject to the exceptions set forth in § 295-2.
The provisions of § 295-1 closing parks after sunset and before sunrise and requiring the public to leave the parks at such times are subject to the following exceptions:
A. 
A person or persons may remain in the park after the time it would be closed under § 295-1 where an official sign posted at the entrance of the park provides for different park closing times, in which case members of the public shall leave the park at the posted closing time.
B. 
A person or persons may remain in the park after the time it is closed if such person or persons are in the park under a permit to do so issued by the Department of Parks and Recreation, provided that such person or persons shall leave the park at the time specified in the permit.
C. 
A person or person may remain in the park during the time it is closed where such person or persons are participating in an official program operated by the Department of Parks and Recreation.
Any person, firm, corporation or other entity violating any provisions of this article shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not to exceed $250, 15 days' imprisonment, or both, for each offense.

No person shall smoke any cigarette, cigar, or pipe of any nature or content in any park or recreation area in the Village.
Any person who violates any provision of this article shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not to exceed $250, 15 days' imprisonment, or both, for each offense.
