The Sealer of Weights and Measures of the City of Yonkers shall
be the Director of the Office of Licensing. As Sealer of Weights and
Measures, the Director shall have all of the powers and duties conferred
by this chapter in addition to all other duties conferred upon the
Sealer by law.

A. Employees of the Office of Licensing shall be authorized to perform
any reasonable function, not otherwise prohibited, in furtherance
of the enforcement of any of the provisions of this chapter, as is
prescribed in Article 16 of the Agriculture and Markets Law, such
as to examine, test and seal, not less than twice per year and as
often as the Director may deem necessary, all weighing and measuring
devices in the City of Yonkers.
B. Upon written request of any resident of the City, the Director shall
test or cause to be tested, within a reasonable time after receipt
of such request, the weighing and measuring devices used in buying
and selling by the person making such request.

Whenever any employee shall resign or be removed from office,
that employee shall deliver to the Director all weights and measures
and other official property in the employee's possession.
Each employee shall promptly report any violation of this chapter
to the Director.

There shall be provided to employees of the Office of Licensing
such forms as are necessary to record results of inspections. Upon
completion of an inspection, one copy of the inspection report shall
be left with the owner and one copy shall be kept as a record by the
Office of Licensing.
